【　The tale of Black silica　】

◆　I, Masanobu Imai, an executive of Hayashi Kensetsu Kogyo Co., Ltd. WIN-division, happened to meet black silica 12 years ago.  It was a mysterious black stone produced in Kaminokuni-machi, Hokkaido.

◆　It was triggered by one incident that I found the effects of the stone.  One day, my wife’s mother got her hand burned.  I put a little bag with powders of black silica, which I had obtained by chance, on her hand for a while.  Then, strangely enough, her pain disappeared and didn’t get a blister even on the next day!

◆　My second daughter has also succeeded to relieve her backache by using the powder of the stone.

◆　I bought a large quantity of the stone, thinking that it would be appreciated by customers and may also become a good business

◆　At first, we just sold them as raw materials without any processing.  However, there were poor demands.

◆　I considered of other uses.  It may work for plants, if it’s good for human body.  I had test growing at an onion farm in Okadama district, the suburb of Sapporo.  There I’ve got an amazing result!  Onions grew splendidly.

◆　But no matter how much onion grow, it had no effect on raising a price.  I thought we would make the best use of the stone with more value-added things.

◆　There is a highly value-added farm product in Hokkaido. Not vegetable, but fruit. The famous melon!

◆　I went to a melon farm right away and asked for cooperation, but failed to get a good response.  They called me like a thief!  That was a matter of course for trying to sell some stones for millions of yen.

◆　But I never gave up!!  (I may be a bad loose…!)

◆　Finally, they granted my request after begging for several days.  I blended black silica in the soil of melon vinyl house.

◆　As a result, huge melons like water melons were harvested.  In Hokkaido, only melons that pass severe standard can name the brand.  These melons were too big to pass the standard.

◆　The farmer was Mr.K..  Every year, our company purchases all the melons from Mr.K, and give them to our acquaintances.

◆　It looks like water melon, but the taste is excellent.

◆　My hobby is sports.  Actually, I used to take an active part as an athlete when I was young.  Personal connection from then still continued.

◆　The president in Hakodate Yunokawa hot springs is one of my sport companions.

◆　He was interested in using black-silica for purification and deodorization of the rebuilding open-air bath, as I explained about it. They confirmed the effect after an experiment of nail rust, and decided to adopt black silica.  The new open-air bath had completed in September 1996.

◆　The president introduced other owners of hotels to me.

◆　In consequence, they started to use black silica for improving the quality of pond water and purification, as well as deodorization of hot spring.

◆　Thus, black silica became popular among the trades of hot spring hotels. 

◆　And 10 years later, I encountered the stone-slab bath, which I can make the best use of black silica!

◆　In November 1st 2002, we constructed an experience-room with 4 beds on our premises, for the public to try the bath out for themselves.  News soon spread through TV and word of mouth, and now the number of visitors became over 800. We are receiving numerous inquiries everyday.

◆　There are not only local visitors but also many from all over Japan.  The farthest visitor was from Kagoshima, and that was impressive!  Again, I firmly believed the effects of the stone-slab bath.

◆　You could discover the effects of the stone-slab bath, only through experiencing it.

◆　There are other kinds of stone-slab bath all over Japan.  Each has its　feature and we can not say which one is the best.  For comparison, we highly recommend that you experience it for yourself.

◆　We will continue to do our best to spread the benefits of the black silica stone-slab bath throughout Japan, and the world.
